Accent ADC are delighted to be associated with SwansFootball.com. Our caricature team print celebrating Swansea City achieving Premiership status, is not only pleasing fans but also raising money for good causes.
Since launching the print, we have been amazed at the response from Swansea city fans who are devoted to their club and proud of their well earned success. Swansfootball.com recently donated several prints to a charity event organised by Nigel Davies, editor of Swans fanzine ‘A Touch Far Vetched’, which was held at the Tomos Watkin Brewery on Friday August 5th.
The entertainment kicked off with Swansea star Kevin Johns warming up the crowd with his usual brand of razor wit and biting sarcasm. Then it was straight into a five song set from The Final Warning, a group of talented youngsters with a big future ahead of them.
Next up was balloon twisting magician, Matt Steele, who found a use for some black and white balloons of his own, then a Q&A session featuring Swansea City legends, Nigel ‘Speedy’ Stevenson and Alan Curtis. The auction and raffle raised £1,100 for Marie Carie cancer charity. Steve Sax and the Git provided fantastic musical entertainment, and comedian Phil Evans ensured that laughter, as well as beer, was flowing.
We would like to thank everyone behind the scenes and all those who bought tickets. The night was a sell out success, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Our Swans Commemorative print raised £90, thanks go to Nigel and Alan for adding their signatures.
Thanks also go to Legend in waiting, Joe Allen, who kindly signed and presented one of our commemorative prints to a lucky auction winner, at the Copper Beech pub in Abercrave on Saturday 6th August. Over £2000 was raised this weekend alone – great result!
