Vdub Passion

VDub Passion are a new and exciting VW Transporter converter to come out of South Wales. Quickly establishing a name in the VW conversions community was a primary objective.

The Vdub Passion website captures the surf and sun lifestyle that a website about VW camper conversions deserves. The logo design by Accent fits perfectly with the beach theme at the same time as being sleek and refined to represent the high build quality of the conversions. The site promotes previous builds at the same time as advertising the current stock of expertly converted VW campers. With great facebook links this website takes advantage of the worldwide Vdub community.

Along with the website Accent have produced business cards, banners, keyrings and promotional literature. We look forward to seeing the vdub passion website and facebook page take off (well as the Accent staff getting a chance to look cool down the Gower.)

Swans Football Print Huge Success

Accent ADC are delighted to be associated with SwansFootball.com. Our caricature team print celebrating Swansea City achieving Premiership status, is not only pleasing fans but also raising money for good causes.

Since launching the print, we have been amazed at the response from Swansea city fans who are devoted to their club and proud of their well earned success. Swansfootball.com recently donated several prints to a charity event organised by Nigel Davies, editor of Swans fanzine ‘A Touch Far Vetched’, which was held at the Tomos Watkin Brewery on Friday August 5th.

The entertainment kicked off with Swansea star Kevin Johns warming up the crowd with his usual brand of razor wit and biting sarcasm. Then it was straight into a five song set from The Final Warning, a group of talented youngsters with a big future ahead of them.

Next up was balloon twisting magician, Matt Steele, who found a use for some black and white balloons of his own, then a Q&A session featuring Swansea City legends, Nigel ‘Speedy’ Stevenson and Alan Curtis. The auction and raffle raised £1,100 for Marie Carie cancer charity. Steve Sax and the Git provided fantastic musical entertainment, and comedian Phil Evans ensured that laughter, as well as beer, was flowing.

We would like to thank everyone behind the scenes and all those who bought tickets. The night was a sell out success, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Our Swans Commemorative print raised £90, thanks go to Nigel and Alan for adding their signatures.

Thanks also go to Legend in waiting, Joe Allen, who kindly signed and presented one of our commemorative prints to a lucky auction winner, at the Copper Beech pub in Abercrave on Saturday 6th August. Over £2000 was raised this weekend alone – great result!

Anyone interested in purchasing their own piece of Swansea city history, please go to www.swansfootball.com.

What makes a great website?

Swansea based website designers, Accent ADC, have the website experience, knowledge and creative flair to ensure that your website is not simply aesthetically pleasing, it must also communicate your message clearly and concisely to the end user. A great website should be intuitive and engaging, relevant and user friendly.

In this high speed age of technological advance, it’s vital to ensure the user is able to access required information as quickly and easily as possible. We live in an age of increasingly demanding consumers with short attention spans, who simply don’t have the time or the inclination to trawl through masses of irrelevant data, and why should they? If your website is user focused and organised, you’ll be able to grab their attention immediately and hold their interest while they search and browse your site.

Creating the right visual impact should not be underestimated. The best websites have been designed and built to look attractive as well as being functional and informative. Your home page needs to draw the user in, they will see the beauty before the function. Our Swansea based design team love getting their teeth into new projects, especially the challenging and constantly evolving medium of web design. Understanding your target market, your company goals and objectives, your desires for the future, your approach to your customers, are all imperative in designing the perfect website.

It’s all about communication. What are you trying to say? What is your business all about? We understand the value of your brand image, the importance of protecting and enhancing your credibility through good design. We work incredibly hard to promote the reputation you work so hard to build. A great website will serve as proof of your professionalism, it says your business can be trusted.

Websites take on a life of their own, they are constantly evolving to keep up with technological advances, demands of consumers, threat of competition, legislation, and of course changes within your own business. The best websites will not walk before they can crawl, but will certainly keep pace with the world around them. Our Content Managed Systems (CMS) allow clients to update their own websites, making it easy to edit and add new data, images, news articles and other posts.

Some will see Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) as a necessary evil, a technological minefield. And they’re not altogether wrong! It certainly poses challenges to website designers with clients desperate to reach number one spots with Google and other major players. Of course, there is no magic wand and can cost a fortune to achieve quick results, but there are several ways to improve your ratings without remortgaging your house. We ensure all our websites contain suitable key words, tags, links etc. and we register all new sites once completed. We’ll advise all we can to start you in the right direction and find the best promotion tool for your website. But, basically, it comes down to love and attention. If you regularly spend a little time on your website, posting unique and informative articles, you’ll be surprised how responsive search engines can be.

So, in summary, a great website must be:

• Attractive and engaging

• Interesting, informative and relevant

• User focused and simple to navigate

• Able to move with the times

• Easy to find on the web
