A new logo for an iconic market space.
Swansea Market is the largest indoor market in Wales, an award-winning, historic market that offers both tourists and residents a unique shopping experience. Despite the popularity of the market as a city landmark, it still has to evolve and develop along with people’s demands particularly in the post-COVID era. The Market Garden was introduced as a new green space at the heart of the indoor market for customers to relax, meet up and eat or drink. Accent’s design team were approached to create and develop the branding for this new space.
The result was branding that reflected this environmentally friendly but flexible new space. The new branding also echoed Swansea Market’s current logo that depicts the iconic Market building arches. The Market Garden is also being used as a space for various special events so Accent were asked to develop the branding into large displays and signage which has contributed to the success of the new space and lasting popularity of the Market itself. Accent was also tasked with designing the central chandelier, plus sourcing and arranging the foliage which hangs dramatically from this imposing structure.
